PHOTOS: If you’re like us it’s hard for us to shut up, but if these dedicated folks around the country can do it, so can we. In case you haven’t been, ahem, listening, thousands of LGBTs and their supporters taped it shut today (many literally) to observe the annual national Day of Silence. It’s part of an effort to raise awareness to the injustice suffered by LGBTQ youth in and out of school. The effort spans from universities all the way to middle schools with over 8,000 educational institutions participating. For more on the campaign, visit DayOfSilence.org.
