Matt Bomer and Frank Ocean can get it anytime, anyplace. Not as big a fan of Neil and David in these looks (though they’re usually both so sexy). Jay-Z’s tux is perfect. And David Beckham is just…I can’t. Too hot…

      Oh just kill me!

When will any male celebrity wear anything other than a suit?

Actually this year is a major advancement as some of them are wearing white coats – trend started by Matthew McConaughey & Jared Leto at the Oscars.

The women have worn every design that has ever been created and every man for the past century wears the exact same thing – suits. Even the flamboyant gay guys do not dare wear anything else.

I’m not saying they have to wear ridiculous outfits – just create elegant/chic alternatives for eveningwear.

The men can ogle at the women wearing different cuts highlighting their different assets but we can never do that :C

I agree that the double standard here is really bad. The men are all dressed like monks whereas the women are dressed in revealing clothing. Why is it that liberals promote this? Are they afraid of the male body?

      Hey guys,
Totally agree with some of you when you say that women are allowed to wear (almost) anything, in no matter what colour, shape, fabric and form. Great names and labels create the most wonderful, crazy, revealing outfits for women often revealing and enhancing their corporal beauty.
There are a lot of very influential designers for men yet at these do’s what do we get … suits in black and white … and what is this about the white jacket being a trend? Excuse me? That’s the best they could come up with … go for white & black instead of black & white?
Don’t get me worng, David Becham looks delicious in his suit but please please please … give us something more … go back in time and look at some of the flamboyant and outrageous creations men have worn and tell me again that we’re liberal …

      ^ I agree.

Men’s fashion has stagnated for the past century. I don’t want them to go back but be more daring/revealing/interesting in a modern way.

BE A DISASTER BUT BE INTERESTING.

We’d have double the fun talking about the hot messes :)

Are Neil Patrick and David in Thom Browne? Those tailcoats look like something he’d dream up. Props to both for wearing them.

Frank Ocean looks great. I love Zach Posen’s cape. Zoe Saldana is so beautiful, as is Beyoncé. No Rihanna, who featured a midriff-baring ensemble that was stunning? Sarah Jessica Parker’s dress was the most outstanding of the evening. Lupita Nyong’o also looked great in a flapper-esque dress, and Janelle Monáe was fabulous in a caped multi-piece outfit.

And then there was Erykah Badu’s Kilimanjaro-tall hat that deserved its own photoshoot.

Lots of great outfits, and everyone should go see the Charles James show at the Met. He was an important gay fashion ancestor and pioneer.
