@Hilarious: If anything, I’m more impressed by people who are able to take something like a stint on a reality show + parlay that into some form of celebrity. It’s probably easier to become famous for the usual: singing, acting, etc.

yes, agree, and im more impressed with the photographer, and some people behind that like make up artist till the producer ..lol
well i mean, seriously, people only will see reichen as a model and he just done his job, but without the creative people, it’ll be nothing, just like a movie

I CANNOT stand the OVER PHOTOSHOPED looks of this campaign or the NOH8 campaign. They don’t look natural or like people. If you are going to stylize something, do it right. Hell I’ll do it for free just to keep all these things from looking like crap. Apparently everyone thinks they can take pictures and make them look good.

@Kel: I still don’t get why “attention-starved” is such a handy insult these days. Everyone wants attention + the trend is only growing. If that weren’t the case, reality TV wouldn’t be such a huge part of pop culture, YouTube (+ sites like it) wouldn’t be so massively popular, + everyone + his/her dog wouldn’t have a blog/vlog/clog or whatever else people use at the moment to broadcast their daily lives. Not to mention Twitter.

Call me simple minded, u won’t be the 1st!, but if this campaign in about DADT, why NOT find women (who get kicked out more often than men) & men who have been booted and show their faces & tell their storys????
May be a better campaign that way!

well Wilson Cruz played the gay teenager on the show My So Called Life with Claire Danes.. excellent show. Daryl Stephens was the lead in Noah’s Arc on Logo, the first show on cable that dealt exclusively with Latino and African America gay men and their relationships. Deondray Garrett is an African American filmmaker and producer who along with his partner makes movies about the African American gay experience. I really do not know who the other guys are, but I know who they are. Wilson still looks hot! he can flex for me anytime

Open Artists is doing a lot of good for the community, especially trying to help LGBT youth and I commend them for trying to get the word out, love activists such as Darryl, Wilson, and Andrew, but using Reichen, who has done nothing but ride the coattails of a reality win, then do club appearances and try to make a buck off the gay issue of the moment off his looks, is just distasteful to me. But just my opinion, I guess for those living outside LA, it could inspire people to get involved as the NO H8 campaign did.

Andrew Oldershaw is a dreamboat for sure, whoever he is, let’s see more!
Admired Wilson since My So Called Life, nice to see him grow up into such a handsome man, and Darryl Stephens is just pretty, pretty, pretty!
Don’t know who the other people are either, but have to agree with the other posters about Reichen, his time is up, and HE even looks tired! Maybe it’s time to go back to being Rick. LOL

@Greg Theron: How is Reichen wrong for a campaign where you need flex your muscles as a poster boy for a cause affecting gay military members when he’s muscular, gay, + a former soldier who (unless i recall incorrectly) experienced homophobia while enlisted?

Gah, Wilson Cruz is so adorable. Daryl is gorgeous, but I just wish they had adjusted his helmet. It looks a little off-center. Also, the second guy is handsome, but his bicep looks too small to really pull it off. :[
