PHOTOS: It’s All Leather And Fur For These Fashion Week Models

IMG_9878New York based designer Andre Landeros Michel brought the spirit of 80s nightlife uptown this week with the Version II, the Landeros fall 2015. The new collection blends goth, punk, new wave, and industrial music genres with a nod to 80s band Scritti Politti, with inspiration from the artwork of Dan Flavin and Rene LaLoux and the Tony Viramontes fashion illustrations.

Landeros, winner of the Prevue Visionary Award in 2013 and 2012, recently graduated from Parsons School of Design and was chosen as one of 30 international artists to create an Ice Art & Design Suite for the 2009-2010 hotel season in the Artic Circle in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. The new collection continued the conversation introduced in his debut show featuring models wearing delicate silk organzas, fine cashmeres, with a mix of PVC, neoprene, leather, and fur.

We jumped backstage before the show and got an introduction to models getting ready to walk in Version II.
