As anticipation continues to mount for the return of HBO’s zeitgeist-y, San Francisco-based dramedy Looking ahead of its January 11 premiere, eager fans will have to make do with the Instagram accounts of stars. One of the series’ breakout stars is definitely talented Raúl Castillo, who co-stars as Richie, the uncomplicated boyfriend of Jonathan Groff‘s conflicted Patrick. Castillo wrapped his part in the series this week and posted a few photos from his final days in town on his Instagram account. Take a look below.
Raúl catches some cool waves with his buddies including Looking producer Michael Lannan.
He took a moment to honor late artist Frida Kahlo, one of the LGBT pioneers honored with bronze plaques in the city’s Castro district.

How about we take this to the next level?

I hope this series isn’t like “Friends” either where they people just keep sort of dating each other and never branching out. If Castillo turns out to be a better character, then if he and Groff break up, heck, center the plot on him.

Well, you might miss it but that’s the great thing about your job. You get to come back for season 3 next year. SF is a great city to visit.

Is “anticipation” really mounting? I will watch but i haven’t been waiting with eagerness the way i have with other shows. It had a stronger finish than it started and i hope that trend continues into season 2? Love that Castillo is a series regular now. He is the only character i like.

Anticipation? Really? Don’t assume that gays will watch just because it’s a “gay” show. For some of us, series one was more than enough.

Say what you want about the show, I’m still pissed he’s that sexy and straight. Not cool heterosexuals, not cool!

It was a rehash of girls with the worst type of stereotypes in Gaydom minus the Gym bunnies in the fitist city in america!

I wish we could see more of Raúl… naked! Especially his hairy chest and armpits.

Raúl is so hot. Why can’t there be a show just about him?

Just so you know, Augustin’s true character will be revealed in the new series.
It will look like Kevin and Patrick are going to be together. Richie will NOT be happy when he finds out about Kevin but things change when he goes to confront him and finds him being beaten by HIS boyfriend. When Patrick’s sister is revealed (the amazing Kelli Garner) everything changes again.
There will be an accident where one of the main characters will die.
