Fresh off the pride afterparty that is Independence weekend, you may be feeling like it’s time to enjoy a few nights in (or maybe not, who are we kidding). But down in sunny San Diego, the 4th of July is somewhat of a pride pre-party, with the city’s lively pride celebration coming up mid-July. The Pride Dance on the Bay is a fun SD Pride tradition, because why would you take one shot by land if you could take two by sea? Here’s some shots from last years cruisey cruise to get your sea legs warmed up.

everyone looks orange and hungry. I think if we’re going to use the term ‘San Diegan,’ let’s go ahead and really try to represent all the different types of people that entails, not just one guy’s friend’s twink party on a boat. zzzzzzz

why do all these fags have the same haircut
Steve
@imashamedofyoug: We all get that haircut just to tick you off 🙂
Jim
Place hair gel on hands. Begin on side above ears. Sweep inward. Hairstyle complete. Snort meth. Party.

Nothing new!
In London we used to enjoy a “River Boat Shuffle” down the Thames.
The only difference would be the weather……and maybe the smell of raw sewage…..and it was on an old barge that someone would have put some Christmas lights on, borrowed a dj deck and bought some cheap booze from the cash and carry…….catering would consist of bowls of crisps (including the dreadful “smoky bacon flavour” and cheese and pineapple on stcks, so sophisticated…..there would be one chemical toilet for everyone on board to use, but it would appear that most people would rather pee around the bowl rather than in it….. we hadn’t discovered sunbeds ……..and spray tans hadn’t been invented……and our dental work was done by the NHS…..and the options for hair were, a Mullett, a Kevin Keegan Perm or standard “Short Back and Sides”.
Actually they were nothing like this event…..perhaps that’s why I don’t have any pictures of them.
Actually, why am I trying to kid myself that it was anything like this cruise?

@dollyknockers: your comment made my morning!
Jeffree
@dollyknockers: Funny stuff, what memories! Thanks. The only place we cruised in my town was eBây!
I’ve snacked on some of those “smoky bacon flavour crisps” (Tesco?) & that off taste lasted a good week until I discovered the joys of tequila.
Some events of our lives (ok, my life) probably go best unphotographed. The memories are more forgiving than the awful “snaps” of what we wore. And who we did — twice. (Your mileage may have varied!)

@Jeffree: I remember wearing a bright yellow boiler suit once. It was unzipped to the waist and I thought I was looking hot. Unfortunately the only thing I managed to attract was every mosquito and green fly from a ten mile radius of Hammersmith! I know I don’t have any photos as I destroyed all the ones I had one day in a fit of vanity. I just hope that everyone else did the same!

derp… bitter much? Agreed it’s just a twink party on a boat but bfd. Get over it. The article never said it was representative of all San Diegans, and if your criteria were what it took to run a piece, then nothing would ever get published.
Lefty
It’s hardly an article, is it? It’s an advert.
Nice pictures, though. Looks like a lovely place…
