PHOTOS: Sharon Needles Glams Up, Strips Down For UK Fashion Mag “IDOL”

She might like to give us fright-night realness, but RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sharon Needle can also deliver high glamour. In the latest issue of British fashion magazine IDOL, Needles summoned the kind of dramatic flair and pizzazz that wouldn’t be out of place in Vogue or Elle. “Her innate ability to showcase her lithe, androgynous body to full advantage gives Sharon an enviable feline grace,” says ICON editor Ryan Davis, who styled the shoot for photographer Eli Schmidt.

Speaking of showcasing her body, Needles was even convinced to go sans frock in a few tasteful nude shots. “The shoot was spontaneous—just marvelous. Eli and his camera coaxed me into doing what I’d never planned to do. I took it all off… with a little strategic positioning, of course,” she confesses.

“I prefer black underwear, but those who purchase yesterday’s white definitely tell the truth,” says the Queen of Halloween.
