Evita Bar is Tel Aviv‘s oldest and most famous gay bar and a popular hangout for both locals and tourists alike. Featuring nightly entertainment that includes drag shows, go-go boys, karaoke, and weekly circuit parties, it’s no wonder Evita Bar is known as the “the house of gay nightlife.” The bar also has a reputation for having some of the hottest male bartenders in the Middle East.

I don’t know about “[t]he bar[‘s having] a reputation for having some of the hottest male bartenders in the Middle East” part, but I can say that it has a local reputation for being one of the most welcoming, inclusive bars in the city. You don’t have to have a gym bod or be a male model or circuit boy to fit in there (you’d actually be in the minority); urban professionals, grad students, young high-tech workers, foreigners, friends and old army buddies just meeting up for a drink are all made to feel equally welcome; everyone belongs there…very casual, laid-back atmosphere (been there a couple times while doing study abroad)
