CALENDAR BOYS

PHOTOS: Warwick Men’s Rowing Team Strips Off Uniforms To Pay For New Ones

The English lads on Warwick University’s rowing team need new “kit” (which we think is Britspeak for costumes) so, as they have for the last three seasons, they’re dropping their drawers and posing for a naked calendar and accompanying making-of film.

“Our support has been growing both in the UK and around the world, so this year we want to make our calendar and film bigger and better than ever—and hotter,” says a message on the group’s CrowdFunder page. “But even with the zero budget for wardrobe and a whole lot of favours from everyone involved, it costs money to create something really great.  So we need your help.”

Right now the team is less than halfway to its ÂŁ2,000 ($3,200) goal, but rewards for big spenders include the opportunity to join them at the shoot, where the boys will serve you champagne in the buff. (You can keep your clothes on, but why would you?)

And when the calendar and video come out, the Warwick boys will donate a percentage of the proceeds to Ben Cohen’s StandUp Foundation, which battles homophobic bullying. “Like Ben, we have had a huge amount of support from the gay community over the last four years, and this is our way of saying thank you.”

Oh you’re very, very welcome indeed.
