PHOTOS: What Do Cristiano Ronaldo and MTV’s New 4-Some Show Have in Common?

GRATUITOUS SKIN — Last night we sat through MTV’s new half-hour series The Buried Life, about four very attractive twentysomething white guys — Duncan, Ben, Dave, and Jonnie — who have a list of 100 things they want to do before they die. Like play basketball with President Obama, or give a toast at a stranger’s wedding. There’s a do-gooding aspect to the show, however; for each item they cross of their list, they help another person do one thing he wants to do before he dies. That the debut episode paired the foursome’s mission (crash a Playboy Mansion party) with a kindred soul’s mission (provide a computer to the elementary school children he teaches) to yield some awkward scene transitions (Playboy! … Kids! … Fake boobies! … Kids!) notwithstanding, the show also featured the four gents’ outrageous ploy to get inside Hugh Hefner’s grounds. One part of the plan involved hiding inside an oversided fake cake; the other involved Ben, the show’s narrator, pretending to be Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, whom Ben sort of resembles, and who happens to be the new face (abs? crotch?) of Emporio Armani. We’ll let you guess which of the two stunts actually succeeded (watch the ep here), but in the meantime, here’s Mr. Ronaldo.
