Former N’Sync band member Lance Bass introduces this dear-God-don’t-let-it-be-real music video for Heart2Heart’s “Facebook Official.” In it, five twinks with anime hair and kitten eyes sing about social media romance with lines like, “I like your status, two thumbs up” and “Girl I don’t wanna play Farmville, I just wanna play for real.”
The video (now viewed over 600,000 times) may be popular with real-life tweens, but the 13-year-old girl inside of us does not approve. Perhaps it’s just a commercial for Mac computers or Facebook or (GASP!) a commercial for Lance Bass’ un-announced career as a boy band manager. Oh no…!
OMG, best video evah!

I immediately wanted to tell one of my best friends about this video but then realized i didn’t want to admit i had watched it. Is Heart2Heart a gay boy band or a “straight” boy band? Who wrote this crappy song? Aren’t boy bands supposed to be attractive? Was it really possible for Lance Bass to sink lower in my opinion than he already had? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!!!

Groan.
They managed to include just about every sad cliché of the pathetic “boy band” imaginable.
And seriously? ANY band that uses its name in the lyrics of a song should be drawn and quartered, then hung from the parapets to slowly shrivel and dry in the harsh sun.

I thnk this video is what really killed Amy Winehouse.
