Not only is Krystian Legierski the newest voter-approved member of Warsaw’s City Council, he’s also reportedly Poland’s first known homosexual to serve elected office in the tres Catholic nation that gave proud homophobe Lech Kaczynski the title of “president” (and then he died). Oh, and Legierski is black, so that’s neat! And if he ever makes it into the history books, a future version of my boyhood self would be flipping to page 126 just to get a tingling feeling.
Few words from Polish guy – first of all you are allowed here to eat anything you like. Moreover we’re not racist – we didn’t finish to hate all white people yet (especially Germans, Russians and Jews!) ;) Hmm… stupid joke.
Anyway – Krystian is not adopted – he was born in small polish city.
So as being gay please bitches be more tolerant and don’t judge anyone without knowing someone!

@Jaroslaw
I googled him, so here is ‘his story’:
““My father was from Mauritania,” Legierski told GCN by telephone from Warsaw, “and came to Poland in the early ’70s to attend a maritime academy for training to join the merchant marine, which is when he met my mother.”
But the biracial relationship didn’t last long, and his father split and returned to Mauritania (officially, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, a country in western North Africa bordered by Algeria, Senegal, and Mali.)
Legierski, who uses his mother’s maiden name, said he has never had contact with his father.”

PS. It’s true – most of us are carnivores, but it’s more complicated – it’s strongly connected with our history, tradition and climate.

Poland is a very homogeneous society.
For good and for bad, is it a very loyal Catholic country.
And to see him elected is a huge surprise..not only because he is gay and black, but also a vegetarian.
If anyone has spent any time in Poland they would know how the topic vegetarianism is viewed.
