My mother grew up in RI and my mother’s entire family is still there. My partner and I are actually going on his family vacation in Newport. My mother’s entire family has always been amazingly supportive. It would be really nice if RI would just get with it and legalize gay marriage before I return there next summer. All of my mother’s family as well as friends of the family have always been much more supportive than my family and friends in Ohio.
