- David Beckham‘s tailor is really doing God’s work.
- Puritanical pop tart Joe Jonas is denying the existence of a rumored sex tape with his girlfriend — self-described model and blatant gold digger Blanda Eggenschwiler — which allegedly is heavy on the booze, the drugs and the BDSM sex toys.
- Kanye West is heading in the right direction, or at least a direction, by contemplating naming his future offspring North and his upcoming album, I Am God.
- An ode to the charming personality and boundless talent of Chris Evans.
- Fellow charming/talented man Ryan Gosling doesn’t think the “Hey Girl” meme is “really about me.” It’s about Fabio and dead pigeons.
- Amanda Bynes is a frickin’ lady and don’t you forget it. And this is how ladies court rap superstars.
- Run Jenny! Run from the block!
- Bill Gates finally decided to do something useful and is throwing money at anyone who comes up with a better condom.
- BuzzFeed has an exclusive video of Hugh Jackman working out for his role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables that will have you dreaming a dream for the rest of the day.
- Hot in Cleveland will play host to a legendary Mary Tyler Moore Show reunion featuring Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman and the terminally-ill Valerie Harper joining Betty White and recurring guest star Georgia Engel.
- New episodes of TV’s best sitcom, Happy Endings, return next Friday so seriously guys — watch it. We’ve already lost so many good shows this year (see: Don’t Trust the B, Ben & Kate, Enlightened), let’s really try and make a difference:
Just cut the crap and give us a break – that kind of build, at his age or any other, only comes from steroids. Not that there is anything wrong with it.

are you kidding??? Big Bang Theory…lord almighty. Happy Ending is fantastic…I’m still curious to understand what types of millions of people tune into big bang theory. I think their token gay character is one of the best representations of a gay man on tv! He’s not so typical and doesn’t quite fit into the gay stereotypes as I feel sometimes that is kind of shoved in our faces both on tv and in society.
·
Bill Gates finally decided doing somehing useful? You lowly scum. He has been doing way more in a day than your whole life might amount to.
·
It must be because I’m a Brit, witty and clever, and have an actual career and education in IT and being a “geek” for all 27 of my years. I find Big Bang Theory possibly the worst “intellectual” show ever devised. It’s horribly trite, badly written, every character is completely mono-dimensional and they don’t carry any charisma and the show has no kitsch or charm value in redemption for its failures whatsoever.
But then, I have an issue with the lack of characters and writing quality in just about all American shows so I’m not the best measuring stick I suppose. The only American shows I enjoy are Simpsons [not so much now, admittedly], Futurama and House [seasons 1-4].
To be fair Simpsons is the best TV show ever, and it isn’t even close, it’s so far ahead of anything, ever that it isn’t even a fair table having it involved.
·
@2eo, Big Bang is a one-joke show, just like Keeping Up Appearances over on your side.
·
I agree with Big Bang. Say what you will about it, but there’s something new to learn every week. Plus, how can you not love Shamy?
·
Gotta tell ya, I’m lovin’ Becks’ butt.
And I don’t care what anyone says, I find his voice charming too
·
@viveutvivas: Hey, that isn’t fair. Keeping up Appearances didn’t even have one joke. We’ve made tons of these horribly unfunny one note shows.
Keeping up appearances
Last of the summer wine
One foot in the grave
I can’t even remember them all, but there are loads of them. Oh look they’re old and they’re riding a bathtub down a hill, again. Joyous.
Big Bang Theory is for people who hate technology, like Dan Brown books are for people who hate reading and need the plot spoon-fed constantly. It’s painful and embarrassing when it’s on and I can’t help but feel a modicum of contempt when people tell me how great it is, because it really isn’t.
·
@2eo: “Big Bang Theory is for people who hate technology…”
So what? Is there anything wrong with hating technology? It wouldn’t be possible to make a comedy about *liking* technology because humor doesn’t work that way.
But I’d never even heard of Happy Endings before this article, so I’ll check it out.
·
If this is going to be an American Vs British Comedy Argument, I’ll just pull out Brass Eye and end this conversation early.
·
I will in defense of the US point out you piss all over my nations attempts at political satire, Colbert, Stewart and Maddow are genius.
We have Russell Howard and his completely flat stick of “oh look, I’ll repeat the headline in a funny voice then repeat a joke from Family Guy with names of politicians instead”, what a twat.
·
Except Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister of course.
·
@viveutvivas: “Big Bang is a one-joke show, just like Keeping Up Appearances over on your side.”
How fucking dare? ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ was my jam. That + ‘Are You Being Served?’
Tsk tsk
·
I find those high speed video loops incredibly annoying, whether or not they have hot guys in them
·
Happy Endings? Seriously? You mean the one with the token gay character who never gets any onscreen action? Sorry, but no.
The best sitcom on TV is The Big Bang Theory.
