Pope “Ashamed” Over Priest Sex Scandals

pope-benedict-saturno-hat-1.jpg
Pope Benedict XVI, who arrived in the States today, claims he’s “deeply ashamed” over the Catholic church sex abuse scandals:

It is a great suffering for the Church in the United States and for the Church in general and for me personally that this could happen.

It is difficult for me to understand how it was possible that priests betray in this way their mission …to these children.

I am deeply ashamed and we will do what is possible so this cannot happen again in the future.

Contrary to what you may think, Benedict was not struck down by a bolt of lightening. Miracles do happen!

Spoken like a true pious Bavarian. YOu can take the boy out of Bavaria, but you can’t take the Bavarian out of the boy. How is the damage done to the victims remedied by his shame.

The ongoing insult and damage to the legacy of Pope John XXIII must somehow be part of God’s plan, if you believe in that.

I’d truly be ashamed of wearing that red chapeau with the matching red Prada pumps in public then talking about sex abuse scandals. What a clown.

“It is a great suffering for the Church in the United States and for the Church in general and for me personally that this could happen.”

A “great suffering”? Really? How about calling it exactly what it is: CRIMINAL PEDOPHILIA. If His Pontifical Unholiness is so aggrieved, why doesn’t he turn over the offending priests to the authorities, so that they can be prosecuted? His “church” has continually sheltered and protected these vile predators.

For all of the Catholic Church’s ranting about homosexuals, have you ever noticed that they never said a word about the 1996 decision repealing sodomy laws? This is probably why…it kept untold numbers of their own priests from going to prison for buggery.

The Catholic church abused it’s role as guardians of the nation’s young for decades here in Ireland, too. So, it’s nothing short of bizarre that the church still plays a prominent role here …

Everyone should Netflix “Deliver Us From Evil” a truly disturbing documentary about the Catholic priest pedophilia scandal. many girls are molested as well, though somehow the vile Vatican blames homosexuals for pedophilia.

The film touches on how vows of celibacy, along with the church’s anti-sex teachings, create a culture of abuse among the priests.

I’m not even Catholic, and I was disgusted with the church after knowing more of the facts.

What he’s ashamed of only happens because the Catholic Church is working at completely crossed purposes with the natural human condition.

Tell a man to do what is utterly impossible, and this is the result.

What Ratzi is really upset about is the estimated $3,000,000,000.00 his cult is paying out to the damaged survivors of the epidemic of child rape by priests like him.

Considering his history in the HitlerJugend and his rancid reactionary politics Ratzinger makes an excellent spokesmodel for all the Roman cult stands for. The catholic cult is based on an amalgam of superstitious ‘mystery’ cults that emerged during the degenerate period of Roman culture. During the Dark Ages they morphed into a rapacious, bloodthirsty organization hell bent on accumulating wealth and power. Catholic cult leaders were the mainstay of the retrograde and devolutionary trends of feudalism. They organized the mass murders of jews, muslims, cathars, ‘schismatics’, ‘heretics’, GLBT folks, midwives, the poor, rebels and anyone who got in their way.

Have they changed? Not significantly. They are still the same organization governed by the same howling superstitions. However the liberal use of the guillotine as a cure for clerical treason during the French Revolution and similar efforts in other nations since then has taught them to be circumspect.

But not always. While little Ratzinger was goosestepping his way into the HitlerJugend and industriously trying to shoot down Allied aircraft as a Luftwaffe flak gunner his papal predecessor Eugene Pacelli, aka Pius XII, was praising Hitler’s war on ‘communism’ and pigheadedly refusing to speak out about the Holocaust. (They like to give themselves names like Pius, for the same reason that George would like to be called Bush the Smart.) Later Pacelli’s Vatican government played a central role in the escape of large numbers of Nazi war criminals, and were no doubt well paid for it.

We are born gay, lesbian, transgendered. We are not born superstitious. That’s a lifestyle choice, a learned behavior. Catholic and other cultists ought to think long and hard about the political and historic reality of their cult and do what they can to wean themselves from it. You can change, they won’t change.

And my personal nickname for him is Pope Eggs Benedict the Nazi.
As a 7th grader I witnessed these creatures in action. They moved the parish priest who molested the altar boys to his new position at an ALL BOYS SCHOOL. All the schoolboys knew about it, but NONE of the parents did. My good friend was severly beaten by his father when he told him what the priest had done to him. Sad.

Not to excuse the church’s anti-gay teachings, and its many failures over its 2000 plus years, but Bill’s statements are largely discredited Protestant anti-Catholic Nativist (anti-immigrant) bigotry right out of the 19th century. The additional parts are those that distort the church’s complex role during WWII.
I am ashamed that such shoddily supported tripe is accepted uncritically by so many gay people.

Gay catholic – Bitch Republic is right, you’re an idiot.

I’m not some Paisleyite scum repeating anti-Catholic propaganda or a nativist. I was raised in an Irish catholic family and was a devout little boy until I joined archdiocesan Golden Gloves and discovered sex. It was so much fun that I didn’t even bother confessing. That ended my involvement with your cult’s superstition, bigotry, reactionary politics and eating fishsticks on Friday.

So, please explain to us the ‘complexities’ that led Pacelli, aka ‘Pius XII’, aka ‘Hitler’s Pope’ to refuse to condemn the murders of 6 million Jews, gays, Gypsies and 22 million Russians during Hitler’s ‘anti-communist crusade. Why did Pacelli refuse to condemn El Duce’s genocide against the christian Ethiopians and muslim Libyans and Axis support for fascist Franco? Why was the vatican silent about the Italian invasions of Albania and Greece? Why was the vatican silent about the Nazi invasions of France, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Greece, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia and the USSR?

Why is this all so complex for you? When the term ‘complexities’ is used like that it always means you don’t want to talk about it because you know you’re dead wrong.

I surprised you didn’t try to deny that thousands of priests worldwide have been raping boys for decades.

This is what makes me furious–the great horror is not that these priests molested children. Its that the Church knew and did nothing–or worse, covered for them. You’ll never hear Pope Benedict Arnold apologizing for that.

The catholic church, like all faith-based bodies in the world, including fundy protestants, muslims, hindus, buddhists, scientologists, and animists, is primarily dedicated to its own perpetuation over all other considerations. It achieves that by any means necessary (or unnecessary), including mass (and individualized) murder, covering up crimes both large and small, siding with whatever secular authority has power at the time, and alternatively frightening and/or seducing large numbers of people people (preferably undereducated, preferably in economic crisis, preferably powerless) into accepting their made-up fairy stories based solely on their assurance that the stories came directly from god.

That, folks, is the basis for most of the badness in the world today, whether by GLBTs or anyone else.

So yeah: His hat is funny, he’s a “former” nazi (like anyone really gets over that…kinda like being a “former” catholic), his church heirarchy is full of people in serious need of psychotherapy, and history is history.

The bigger issue is that he represents a fundamental flaw in our civilization: the willingness to accept, honor, and act on the basis of “faith” in a series of ancient fairy stories made up by folks wallowing in those enlightened early days of the iron age.

The church is an absolutist monstrosity that will stop at nothing to keep power.

Just look at how Pope Benedict in2009 UNexcommnicated a Bishop Williamson, a holocasut denier. To bring his 600,000 mad followers back into the church, along with their money. EG at $100/head for the vatican, that is $60 mil, not chump change

And now he has a new group to hate – the gays. One of the other groups that Hitler threw into the ovens. The church scapegoats this minority – its new dirty jews, to hide its own crimes.

And don’t let the anti-abortion campaign fool you. It is just one of their smokescreens to hide the endless history of mass murder in which this church participated, and often enabled.

20-50 million arabs murdered during the crusades – no wonder that society hates us.

a million women burned at the stake as witches. Because witchcraft was a competing religion.

90000, brt prob a lot more – tortured and burned during the inquisition. For daring to challenge the popes ideas, et the earth was flat etc etc.

And of course the hatred of Jews over a millenia. Which the Catholic hitler – still Unexcommicated – leveraged into power and 50 million died.

And in 2009 the Pope, true to what he learned growing up in Nazi Germany during the 1030s, UNexcommunicated a Bishop Williamson. who is a Holocaust denier. Why – because hye has 600,000 mad followers who, assuming the VAtican gets a $100 tithe each, will net $60 million. Not chump change.

The catholic church was a monstrosity and still needs a victim to hate, to keep the people coming and the money flowing. It is about time that all Good Catholics, who believe in Jesus 2nd of only two commandments – to love thy neighbor as thyself – stop contributing to this church, and instead come out en mass to help our gay citizens achieve the equality under the law that that this new victim group rightfully deserves.
