Portia De Rossi To Star In ABC Sitcom Produced By Wife Ellen DeGeneres
Looks like Ellen is about to become Portia’s boss, in a sort of role-playing way.
Ellen DeGeneres recently scored a pilot order from ABC execs for a new sitcom, perhaps by pimping out her wife as one of the show’s stars. According to the Hollywood Reporter:
The Smart One, one of two projects DeGeneres has in development, centers on a brilliant and successful woman who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister—a former beauty queen, weather girl and now mayor of a big city. De Rossi will play one of the two sisters.
What do you think—will Portia be cast as the dumb sibling or the smart one?
I wish ABC would have just kept Better Off Ted on the air. Her character on that was hilarious.

I don’t care, I’m just happy to see her back on TV. Loved her in both Arrested Development and Better Off Ted.

Hopefully the SMART one cuz the more smart and hot lesbos on tv the better! We need 2 portray the glbtqaip peeps in a more pos light so that we can sway the hate eventually toward love.

Hmmm. Portia can play smart (Ally McBeal) and she can play stupid (Arrested Development), but I doubt there’s any way she can play someone who isn’t gorgeous.
So, I’m guessing she’s the boss sister.
