Is the "anti-gay" crack based on just the fact that he's an Evangelical preacher? From what I've heard, he's one of the few televangelist types who isn't obsessed with homosexuality. He may mistakenly believe the Bible teaches against homosexuality (as is his right), but he seems much more interested in preaching in a positive manner than in gay-bashing. In fact, he's taken a heat from the far right for shying away from fire-and-brimstone style preaching.
Having said that, it seems like both women are whack jobs…

Joel Osteen has, in fact, rebutted James Baker Jr's (?) efforts at opening dialogue with gay religious groups recently. He's covertly anti-gay, and I think that's far more insidious and damaging than the flaming gay-haters. And he looks like a wax chimpunk- not hot at all.
The Osteen Rage really runs in the family. I took the brunt of Pastor John's (Joel's dead daddy) rage when I wasn't able to get him a FREE suite at a ski resort at the height of the Holiday season. He demanded the FREE suite then threatened to "take his business elsewhere" and have me fired unless I complied. The ski resort was totally booked (of course) and I was made to look like an idiot in front of my hotel management. Merry Effing Christmas to ME! Thanks a lot Pastor O! R-I-P!
