What I’m concerned about is that if he were allowed to march, he would not be ignored.

In fact, his presence in the parade would distract so much from the celebration of our broad community and its accomplishments in gaining rights and social acceptance, it wouldn’t surprise me if the parade just becomes about him, or that the area that he’s in becomes unruly to a point of near-violence.

I mean, even if he’s denied, I’m likely to have signs ready if I see him to try and get under his skin too…

Here are my ideas so far:

“Ruben: You look like a natural leather daddy with that beard!”

Or, if he’s doing the stupid extension cord “these two male plugs don’t fit together” thing, “Ruben: My boyfriend has a hole that’s compatible with my plug.”

Clearly I’m in the early stages here.
