Predictably, Johnny Weir Turns to Gay Dance Anthem (And We Love It)

Lovable flameboy Johnny Weir isn’t just an accomplished ice skater. He’s a performance artist. With the help of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” Weir hits up Festa on Ice 2009 for a crowd pleasing routine. Of course, this isn’t the first time Weir has turned to Gaga:

That was gayer than a big cock up my ass.

As a gay man watching Johnny Weir’s career, I feel like what it must have been for a black man watching Muhammad Ali, an outspoken black activist become the greatest fighter in the world. It’s not just that he’s gay. He’s flaming! I’m so proud!

IT’s about time somebody in skating was honest. I got so SICK of Rudy Galindo, after he came out and THEN one the nationals and tried to first go back in, and then tried to say that he was the only gay skater out there. Yeah right. Rock on Johny!

I think the term is – openly ambiguous. But the boy can skate like nobody’s business! And it’s obvious.
