Not really that surprising. That block in Over-the-Rhine is one of the most dangerous parts of the city.
Over the Rhine is a wonderful band, by comparison.
It's sad that people have to die before politicians decide that maybe it would be a good idea extend hate crime laws to include sexual orientation. I mean, not that it would have made a difference in the murder itself, obviously the "murder is a crime" law didn't stop it from happening, but the trial could of been different.
It's sad that this story only has 258 views.

Maybe. It IS sad these cases are underreported, and disproportionate where race is involved most definitely.
I don't know the percentage of black-on-black crime or the black-on gay black crime (even if this guy was gay-he was shot while hanging around a few drag queens..) but the non-reporting of these crimes is infamous in Chicago, which is terrible and racist.
What about white-on-white crime or the white-oh-gay crime that goes totally ignored?
White crime is rarely reported at all let alone commented on.
Boys, I think it is more likely that people are fearful of commenting because the hysterical accusations of being 'racist' be screamed,
So, people just look and pass on, not wanting to be abused.
