Dianne Feinstein used to poll (and I think still does) as the most favorable politician in the state, statewide. Although she is by far not MY favorite person, if she does do this ad, it could make a real difference and I will take back every negative thing I’ve ever said about her.

With all of the energy going into California, why didn’t we fight harder in Florida and Arizona which Anti-Gay Prop measures could flip the states in the Electoral College when California wouldn’t go McCain anyway. I do agree with No. 1 and No. 2. but I don’t want to wake up with the Palin-Gay-Hater one stroke away from the Oval Office when she would enact Federal anti-gay Marriage legislation and sully the Constitution with her twisted fifties Worldview.

I agree that Florida should’ve been a higher priority.

Although it is a fairly conservative state, constitutional amendments in Florida require over 60% support rather than a simple majority. So, although the state’s definitely against same-sex marriage, there’s a chance the vote might fall a little short. Moreover, the Democrats are in danger of losing two House seats in Florida (16th and 22nd districts). And the state is definitely in play for the presidential election.

Arizona is McCain’s home state and a Republican stronghold. I doubt very much Obama could get those electoral votes even if he pissed away millions of dollars.

But honestly, all speculation about these other races aside, the advertising campaign against Proposition 8 has been so poorly ran in California (by a Republican) that it could probably use all the outside help it can get. If Senator Fienstein wants to do her part, we are hardly in a position to say no.

People in California should wake up and vote this old hag out of office. She is a conservative and does whatever it takes to say in office. Give the bag a break and give her early retirement.

DiFi, what a disgusting creature you are. She stepped on gays as soon as she was elected mayor and hasn’t looked back since. The bitch always checks her polls before issuing any statement. She is especially careful never to hurt her fellow millionaires or her clubby Senate colleges with legislation of investigations. Di and hubby Dickie bird got rich (filthy, filthy rich) off the Iraq war, 9-11 and the GWOT. She spends most of her days counting her money and doing favors for her friends. (Mostly Republicans like Darryl Isa, Jerry Lewis, Mary Bono and other California scum).

GGreen – everything you say may be true – on the other hand, what good are people who stick to their beliefs 100% and never get elected? Until the public actually votes for people who stick to their principles, votes people out of office who get rich off of and through public policies then we are stuck with people like DF. We have an organization here in Detroit (a chapter of a National group) that promotes labor rights. They pass out newsletters EVERY two weeks faithfully at large office buildings. Do you know how many people show up for the monthly meetings? How many show up for the annual picnic? Very few. But let the economy tank, a corporation get rich deceitfully, let pensions get raided; everyone complains and STILL there is low participation.

Unfortunately we live in the low information age. Many people feel that if it isn’t happening to them it isn’t happening, period. But most could recite chapter and verse last weeks American Idol.
