"Lots of people are up in arms about the passing of California's Proposition 8, and the cast of “Wicked†is no exception. Next Monday, performers from the four North American companies of the Broadway musical will host “Defying Inequality,†an evening of cabaret performances benefiting four nonprofits that promote civil rights for gays. The one-night only event will take place in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Louisville." [LAT]

Well considering that Schwartz is letting the Mormons use "Wicked" its nice to see that the Casts are doing something proactive.
Bravo!
I'm so excited to see this here in Louisville Monday!
Awwww. I want to go, but I'll be in Mexico!
anybody know where this is happening in Louisville? this is the first i've heard about it!
the cast of "wicked" knows how to do things the right way.
I've said that as painful as Prop. 8 was for us, and as much of a (temporary) setback it represented, it was Stonewall #2…No, not the riots per se, but a force of galvanization and ultimately, victory.
Now, wouldn't that prospect make the Mormons' cold hearts glow?
