PHOTOS: Charo, Raja, Leslie Jordan and Bruce Vilanch Make Merry At P-Town’s Carnival

Queerty/GayCities photoblogger Jeffrey James Keyes regularly checks in from the hottest gay parties around the world:  This past weekend he brought his camera to Provincetown where he camped out in front of the Crown & Anchor as Charo, Raja, Leslie Jordan, Bruce Vilanch and all kinds of characters flew by at this year’s Carnival parade.

I have to say, for being 125 years old, Charo looks damned good.

Charo’s an extremely brilliant guitarist. Seriously. Among the greatest flamenco guitarists ever.

But she’s famous for “cuchi-cuchi.” Oh well, that’s America.

Here’s a live version of “Malagueña,” probably the most recognizable flamenco song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....re=related

She just shreds that shit in her gold sequined tux.

@the crustybastard: Thank you ever so much for that link!! Her playing is all you said it was. I cranked up my cheap-o computer speakers and she STILL sounds fantastic. After I post this I’m going for another listen and then lunch.

@christopher di spirito: It was Carnival. Not pride. Hmmmph. ;) (Essentially Pride and Halloween parade mixed together).

#5 is NOT Leslie Jordan, it’s P’town’s official Town Crier.
