Queer Cable Wars Get New Player

tv-test-bars-11.jpg
Bent Bahamians just got a new ally. The island’s Human Rights Network backs gay activist’s push to include Logo in their cable package. Says HRN’s Elsworth Johnson:

They are making a positive contribution to society. They are in charge of our choirs and we seem to be vilifying them, when in fact, they only want to live. There will always be different points of views in our society, but I don’t think that it is for the church to be on a crusade to purge the society.

Not everybody is going to practice Christianity, and not everybody wants to be a Muslim and not everybody wants to be a heterosexual, but these persons are entitled basic fundamental rights, and that is the freedom to choose – to choose what their sexual orientation will be.

While we disagree with Johnson’s choice of words, we’re glad to hear he and his are supporting the homo’s quest to rot their brain with gay t.v.

OutTV (formerly PrideVision) have aired some excellent gay-inclusive programming here in Canada (i.e., shows with signficant gay or lesbian characters) from English-speaking countries like England, Ireland and Australia.

Prior to their airing on OutTV, those high-quality programs were not available anywhere else in Canada. That, in my view, does make the channel worthwhile, particularly since it is priced exactly the same as another other digital specialy channels. And if we don’t add the channel to our digital lineups, it will never have the funds to acquire such shows, let alone to invest in original programming.
