The war between Andrew Sullivan and Human Rights Campaign rages on. After calling HRC out on what he felt to be dubious membership practices -a transparency crusade which led to the organization's astonishing budget release - Sullivan's again taking the gay non-profit to task.
And HRC's fighting back.
From Sullivan's blog:
Meanwhile, HRC's apparently launching their own attacks against the conservative homo-journo. As part of their earlier war, Sullivan said he'd post all of their replies to his queer queries. Using his editorial powers, however, Sullivan trimmed what he refers to as the "throat-clearing", but later published them after HRC complained. Not one to take matters lying down, Sullivan says that HRC's sending the following to people who gripe about their lack of transparency:

Meanwhile, HRC VP David Smith tells The Washington Blade, "There's nobody happier about what Andrew Sullivan is doing than Tony Perkins and James Dobson."
It's just so ugly...

This guy sounds like a lame joke.
The main thing that will come out of all of this is that Andrew Sullivan is an egotistical, self-serving ass. Even though his claims against HRC have been proven false, he continues to try to damage the organization's rep. Apparently Andrew got his panties all in a wad because he that Hillary Clinton was the only candidate invited to address a recent HRC board meeting. Of course, when HRC made it known that it had also invited Barack Obama, John Edwards, Rudy Guiliani and John McCain, Andrew ignored the truth and continued his bitter crusade.
