Between last night's Fabulous! The Story of Queer Cinema on IFC – which looked more like a VH1 clip show with C-list talking heads than an in depth documentary series – and Hilton Hotel's new ad campaign – which debuted last month and reads "Come As You Are ... Fabulous" – is anyone else a little tired of these "innovative" appeals to the gay market?

Well, you might be tired of all this type of program in the big cities, but when we still don't have alot of programming for gay folks in the vast wastelands of America, well, I thought it was refreshing. Yeah, not alot of big names, but hey, most of the films they talked about never made it to Rapid City, South Dakota. Not much gay has ever made it to Rapid City, South Dakota. In fact, after the next election everything that is gay in Rapid City, South Dakota is going to leave the state...permanently.
