The American Family Association has a long history of inciting riots against "pro-gay" companies. They've got their on-and-off hate affair with Wal-Mart. And of course there's their "victorious" campaign against Ford's dalliance with GLAAD.

But how do the "traditional" family focused rabble rousers know which brands to brand enemies of their fundamentalist state? They subject themselves to hours and hours of gay-endorsed television, of course. The group's project summary:

Between February 11 through May 5, American Family Association monitored the top eight prime-time network programs featuring lead or supporting homosexual characters. These programs were specifically identified by the activist-homosexual group GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) as GLAAD Media Award winners, or as showcasing leading or supporting homosexual characters.

Of the eight shows - The Simpsons, ER, The Office, The Class, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy - four air on the Disney-owned ABC. That means the AFA's going to have to add the media giant to its list of offenders, which already includes Ford, Verizon and Quaker Oats. The AFA's got quite a battle ahead.

If they're really serious about taking down fag-friendly firms, AFA members should again take GLAAD's advice: the media watch dog has a rundown of all the gay pride month televisuals.

Those of you who enjoy a good Disney Gay Day may want to take a second to remember retired California Judge James Randal Ross.

The great grandson of outlaw Jesse James, Ross served on the Orange County Superior Court, from which he banished discrimination from the Magical Kingdom.

Of all the cases he handled, Ross was most proud of one involving Disneyland banning gays from dancing at the Anaheim amusement park, Eric James said.

Disneyland had imposed the ban in 1957, when dancing was first allowed. In 1980, a homosexual couple was kicked out of the park for dancing together. When the case made it to Ross' court, he ruled in favor of the gay couple.

In July 1985, Disneyland lifted the 28-year-old ban.

With that lifting, the homos were free to frolic like fairies. It's funny, though, because they can't hold same-sex unions there. Wonder what Ross would have to say about that.

Unfortunately Ross' career ended in censure after he refused to apologize for, among other things, sleeping on the job and telling a dirty joke in court. Sounds like our kind of man...

Alright faggots of the marrying kind, we've got some bad news for you. You cannot - we repeat: cannot - celebrate your gay nups at Disney World in Florida. It's tragic, yes, but there's nothing we can do about it: gays can't legally marry in Florida and apparently Disney requires a valid marriage license before it will allow you to celebrate in its fantastical realm.

As the kids over at AfterElton point out, however, it shouldn't be an issue, because the family friendly company simply holds ceremonies and doesn't issue licenses. That said, a gay couple should be able to rent their space for their ceremony, legally binding or not.

California's Disney Land does allow domestic unions, but you can only celebrate in certain areas. No Rose Court Garden for you, just a tacky banquet hallor ballroom. So, is the mega company violating discrimination laws? While we're not lawyers, it certainly seems that way.

When asked for a statement, a Disney representative said:

The Walt Disney World Resort is open to everyone, every day. We extend our welcome to everyone and treat all of our guests with respect.

Last month played host to Disney's annual Gay Days, where hundreds of thousands of gay men took to the park to enjoy the rides. And each other. But as any regular attendee knows, it's not Space Mountain where the real action is — it's at the pool parties, where there's a good chance a porn star or two might happen by.

Just don't cut in line. It's one thing to piss off a family of four waiting in line at Space Mountain. It's another to cross a gaggle of gays waiting for the tea cup ride.

(And we'd certainly be remiss if we didn't mention the violence already plaguing this year's celebrations.)

It's time again for another Gay Day at Walt Disney World, and this year it will be a more unified affair. We just learned that up until this year there were two factions vying for the glory of organizing the festivities. Finally one of the gays involved decided to back off and organize an adjunct circuit party instead, which sounds much more productive to us.

The fun begins Tuesday, May 30 and continues through Sunday, June 4, so book your room at the Royal Plaza ASAP so you don't end up out by the airport.
