Meehan and Alva Chop Up Congress on DADT
Gay Veteran Seeks New Military Codes

Yesterday, Representative Marty Meehan introduced a measure to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. As part of his efforts, Meehan brought out Eric Alva - a gay Iraq War veteran who holds the gruesome honor of being one of the first injured soldiers in this equally gruesome war. This here's the video of Alva pleading with Congress to change its queer course.

Thank you for posting this. I don't tune into C-SPAN much, but seeing raw video of congress can be quite compelling.

Meehan is right. This bogus policy needs to be repealed. There are already over a dozen developed nations that accept gays openly.

Alva is a real, live hero. Our gay "leaders" should hang their collective heads in shame.
