Here's a story we never expected to find in The New York Times: it seems the porn industry's having a tough time adapting to new high definition imaging. As Matt Richtel writes, porn peddlers have long jumped on new technological advancements - for example, making the move from cinematic moving images to privately-viewed video. In adopting high definition, however, producers, directors and - most importantly - actors failed to consider the erection-depleting domination of human imperfections. Richtel writes:
They have discovered that the technology is sometimes not so sexy. The high-definition format is accentuating imperfections in the actors — from a little extra cellulite on a leg to wrinkles around the eyes.He fails to mention, of course, the horror of high-def asshole wrinkles. We still haven't recovered from a particularly puckered view.
On the other hand, one advantage of high-definition porn is that you can see every single splooged sperm smiling for the camera as they congeal on which ever surface they land.
