Montel Williams - a man who will continue hosting his show until the end of time - recently hosted Exodus International leader Alan Chambers for a little heart-to-heart about the ex-gay movement and it's deceptive, dangerous tendencies.
The best part of this superb clip, in our opinion, comes when Williams and Alicia Slazer, the medical doctor who produced Abomination: Homosexuality and the Ex-Gay Movement, express their astonishment over Chambers' tardiness in consummating his marriage. Priceless!
(Thanks to Dan for passing this along.)
I've yet to hear a rational argument against gay marriage. The allegedly scripture based arguments are themselves not rational and I intend to demonstrate as much on my blog.
This is priceless. Thank you, Queerty, you've made my monday. :)
I'm writing Montel a letter of appreciation, I've just decided.
WOW. I wish this had a sequel.
Thanks for posting cliip. Montel is fabulous and so is Slazer.
Montel was fabulous throughout the whole show. I loved the way he cited quotes on the Exodus site to the pitiful Chambers that contradicted everything he was saying. One would think the president/spokeperson would know what the hell his organization publishes.
I enjoyed the nervous laughter from the audience when they were talking about the definition of "liberation".
You know, I don't understand this whole process of marrying straight if you don't want to be gay. There's nothing wrong with singledom. Lot's of gay people are "bachelors" for the rest of their lives. Just think of numerous Roman Catholic priests.
Marrying straight produces a dissatisfaction with reality. Dissatisfaction produces marriages like this.
