Hundreds of Sacramento-area students rallied to support four students suspended for wearing anti-gay shirts. One participant said: "It's only going to get worse against Christians. We're going to get persecuted more and more. But those who stand to the end: God is going to save them." Um, right...

Blames It On You (Yes, You)

pacifier.jpg

It's been a little while since we checked in on Tully Satre, The Advocate's fagling diarist. Last time, we heard from him, he had posted a harangue at the wave of so-called bisexuality spreading among him classmates.

Well, it seem he got a lot of flack from that piece, and now he's come out not so much to defend himself as to make himself out to be the ultimate gay martry. With guilt-inducing venom, he bemoans:

Last year, my junior year of high school, which is also known as the cardinal year in high school, I knowingly allowed my grades to slip. I went from having a solid 3.5 GPA to becoming a C student in most of my classes.

I did it for you, the person reading this article. I did it for the kid I met 15 minutes ago down the road who was kicked out of his house because he came out as bisexual to his single mother...I probably will not make it into my dream school. I have probably hindered my career in theater. But you know what? I. Don’t. Care.

Hmm, while we're all about people fighting the good fight, maybe Satre would be better off balancing his equations rather than nailing himself to a cross. But, that's just us.

It's been decades since we were a teen, so it's always nice to check in on the faglings to see what's happening in their world. Thus, we navigated on over to The Advocate's Generation Q section and came across this essay by a young homo-journo named Tully Satre.

In it the 6' 4" Satre yacks about his peers' self-proclaimed 'bisexuality.' Apparently his Catholic high school is rife with kids [not young adults] who love cock and pussy. But, don't be fooled, Satre says, ain't nothing but a phase.

More and more, young adults—I’m sorry, I mean kids—my age are finding it trendy to be "bisexual." It is no wonder I am asked over and over again if bisexuality is fact or fiction. Many young people today have used the term to make a fashion statement and create a different kind of clique...

We used to say we were bi, too. Of course, we were lying, but we think bisexuality exists. It's a sophisticated form of sluttery and sexual greed. Well done, kiddies, well done.

youth on christopher st pier

It's getting pretty fancy over at the Christopher St. Pier since it became part of the Hudson River Park in 2003. The Pier has traditionally been a place for queer kids to gather and play next to the hookers who gather and work, all of which creates some amount of noise that irritates the neighbors. It's been an ongoing issue, but now that the Pier is subject to the NYC Parks 1am closing time, the kids, many of whom are of color, are getting louder in their demands that the park stay open until 4am, accusing the city of racism, and the neighbors are getting more annoyed.

Rod over at Rod 2.0 lives in the neighborhood and has a personal take on the issue:

Maybe ten or fifteen years ago we would have totally sided with the kids and the activists. But today? Not a chance. No racism here, boys and girls. Just grow up and stop acting out.

We're with Rod in that sleep is pretty important, even for teenagers. Plus we definitely never got to hang out even until 1am when we were that age, so what more do these brats want?

gay oklahomaA gay teen is suing his school district, claiming they failed to protect him from harrassment and assault.

Eighteen-year-old Michale Bullis is suing the Grove School District of Oklahoma for over $10,000 for damages, after having to transfer to the district's "alternative school" to escape the harrassment. Bullis is a National Honors Society student. And our guess is, with the spelling of his name "Michale," he's a rather fancy lad to boot.

We are quite disheartened to hear of Bullis' ordeal. We presume that he was being harrassed as much as he says; it's not hard to believe that a gay student in Oklahoma was having a hard go of it. And we applaud the young man for having the huevos to take on The Establishment in such a way. We hope he wins the money so he can go buy himself a little happy. Michale, if you need help, let us know.
