BUTT Chops Up Michael Lucas
Michael Lucas Proves Indestructible, Incorrigible

buttwintercover.jpg
We haven't left our house in weeks, so we haven't yet had a chance to peruse the new issue of BUTT Magazine featuring a chat with Michael Lucas. Thankfully, Lucas Entertainment's publicity-queen Heather Reznor sent us this link to Lucas' blog, where you can find his interview with our friend and BUTT editor, Gert Jonkers.

While the boys chat about Lucas' boyfriend and Brooklyn-based relatives, we were struck by two particular things. The first comes in the form of Lucas' admission that he's trying to toss his accent:

GJ: Are you trying to lose your accent?

ML: Sure, I would love to lose it. I'm sure I will one day. It'll take some time an I'll have to take more classes. If you live in a country, you want to speak the language. You don't want to be asked all the time, like, "Where are you from?" I also think it's a sign of respect for the country to speak the language properly.

Boo! Hearing him call you guys our "retarded readers" simply won't be the same without what we always thought to be his most endearing quality. Although, thanks for respecting our country so much, but we suspect he doesn't love it as much as Israel.

You may recall Lucas used his blog to declare war on President Jimmy Carter's portrayal of Israel in his new book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. Lucas again waxes political in this exchange with Mr. Jonkers:

GJ: ...There seems to be so much wrong with Israeli society.
ML: Not for me. What are you talking about?
GJ: Well, come on, the situation in and around Israel is an extremely complicated mess.
ML: Have you been there? It's not complicated at all... Israel is the only free society in the Middle East. They treat women and gays like human beings, not like dogs. I really can't stand how Europe has such a strange attitude toward Israel. I guess it's because Europe always felt guilty for the Holocaust, so for Europe it's a big relief to see Jews using weapons and defending themselves for the first time so that Europe can say, "Oh, great, they're just like us." I mean, come on. The Europeans hate us. What else could be the reason that they choose the side of the Arabs who have been throwing bombs on everybody for years and year and years?
GJ: I don't know. Why do you think that is?
ML: Because the world is not used to seeing a Jew as a strong man protecting his country with weapons.
For our part, we think it's because people are tired of seeing Israel using its weapons, but what do we know?

As if the Lucas interview's not enough, the BUTT boys also have some chats with John Cameron Mitchell, Jon Savage and everyone's favorite Owen Pallett (hopefully he gets to the bottom of that cum-mystery). And, yes, some butts. Find out more at their website.

Michael Lucas is an offensive prick throughout that whole interview.

Not to mention he writes "I would never want to work for another director... I don't want you to go on Google and get any other options than Lucas Entertainment. There's no options. The only thing you can go see if you want to see Michael Lucas is Lucas Entertainment."

And yet... stay tuned for Michael Lucas starring in a PlayGirl video on demand coming to a TV near you!

Hey Anon: The Playgirl vod was directed and produced by Lucas. Just as you can find VOD content directed and produced by us on other sites such as Maleflix.com as well as on lucasentertainment.com
It's called licensing of content.

And the google search is a business thing that makes sense- why invest time and money in a brand only to have those interested in you go somewhere else to give their money? HUH? Doesn't make very much sense mister smartypants now does it?

Re. Israel, give Michael credit for having an opinion and sticking to it. And it's ceratinly more informed than your idiotic comment about people being "tired of seeing Israel using its weapons". If Israel hadn't used its weapons, where would it be today? Probably somewhere in the Mediterranean. Is that what you want? Be ashamed.

As a former Queerty writer I feel embarrassed and deeply disgusted by this entry. The comment that Michael Lucas . .. or anybody . .. would have a greater allegiance to Israel than to the US is one commonly used by anti-Jewish bigots and is along the lines of the "Jews control the media" form of bigotry and hatred that is even found in the pages of Carter's book (how did it get published if Jews control the media?) Irish-American, Italian-Americans, Greek-Americans . . every single hyphenated American you can think of has a pronounced interest in the homeland of their forefathers, but the only group in the US vilified for having such an interest is the Jews. The remark that "people are sick of seeing Israel using its weapons" shows in fact that you don't know much. If you want to talk about impact to the security of the US consider this; were Israel supplanted by an Islamic theocracy, which is what the reigning Hamas wants to do, the US would have no access to the Eastern Mediterranean. The Arab Muslims . .. who believe they have an historical and Allah-mandated claim to much of Europe including Spain, France, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, would be free to launch whatever naval attacks they pleased from the shores of what today is Israel. Do you have any idea what impact that would have on the United States. Do you? Beyond wanting Europe they want to impose a global caliphate under Sharia law. Sharia calls for gays to be killed and says that a good way to kill us is to throw us off of tall buildings. All the Arabs need do to have peace with Israel is to lay down their weapons and declare peace. Furthermore, Queerty of all venues should be aware of the severe violations of the human rights of gay people within Gaza and the West Bank. The Muslims in those areas consider homosexuality a crime on the order of armed robbery. Gays are regularly set on in the streets and killed by mobs as surrounding crowds cheer them on. When the international media sees such attacks and asks what is happening, they are told and they report that the gay murder victim had been "collaborating with Israel." There is constant propaganda on the Arab side saying that homosexuality is a weapon Israel is using against Muslims. The Arab media have umpteen times spread the slander that HIV only exists in Muslim countries because Israel has intentionally spread it there. The anti-gay prejudice is so strong that when Gazan and West Bank parents hear their gay children have been killed by bigots they are happy and praise Allah because they consider that a "dishonor" has been removed from them. By contrast, those non-obvious gay Gazan and West Bank Arabs lucky enough to make it to Israel are at the least given safe haven and sometimes even asylum. Throughout the Muslim world and including in Gaza and the West Bank, the murder of gays is referred to by the local populace as an "honor killing." Honor is something that Qweerty writers would do well to reflect on. If you have one iota of it, you will print a retraction of your outrageous, slanderous, bigotted anti-Israeli blather which if carried to its logical conclusion in the real world would lead to additional harsh persecution of gay people in the Middle East. Shame on Qweerty. Shame, shame, shame.

For some reason I read the whole interview, cause that interviewer was great. Very natural and real with his questions..

Michael Lucas was great as a responder as well, but I think his comtempt for his Russian/Euro roots is clouding his judgement. Yes, it can be funny when he plays it all up a little, but that coupled with the jewish allusions just makes him appear too ethno-focused. But whatever..

We tend to agree with you, The LGBT community by its very nature should be more sympathetic to those who find themselves subjected to the harsh and often unjustified scorn of racism and bigotry. Thank You for bringing this to our attention Michael Lucas, it means a lot to both of us!

It's easy to point fingers at one group or another without pointing them at yourselves. But in the end it is religion in general that is the problem and is undoubtedly responsible for the vast majority of misery in this world since humanity created it.

As the very wise Physicist Steven Weinberg once said, "Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things, but for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."
