Madge Death Threats!

madonnacig.jpg

Following death threats from the Russian mob,Madonna, a little known singer from America, but with a dubious British accent, has been forced into hiding in her no doubt ramshackle Four Season's suite in Moscow. Poor thing.
We have no idea why the Russian mafia wants Madonna's head, but they must realize that if they're successful in their mission, they'll have another family on their asses: the gay mafia. And, trust us, you don't want the gay mafia on your ass. They go in dry.

Jerry says:

It would hardly be the first time that Madonna has been, well, umm… a bit vivid in hyping her apperances on tour.

Hell, vivid doesn't even cover it. The woman has flat-out manufactured controversy from whole cloth on the road on just about every tour she's ever been on.

And we keep paying attention, which bugs.

Jacob says:

Jeremy, I agree there may be some hyping. We heard the same thing about her visit to Italy. I watched via YouTube her "Live to Tell" performance in Rome, and the Catholics loved it.

However, she is the world's largest gay icon, visiting a country where homosexuality is not embraced.

Homosexuality is becoming more humanized in many cultures, but Russia still has a ways to go.

They just had their first gay pride, and not without incident.

I can certainly respect her need to ensure her safety before she goes strollin' across Red Square.
