Some very moving words from former Mayor Koch. But, regardless of his rumored sexuality, do they, and the pro-gay actions he took as mayor that he itemizes, wash away the well-documented blood on his hands from opposing gay equality before he was mayor and the lives that might have been saved had he not actively ignored AIDS for so long?
And Koch's non-support of marriage? I recall he was against marriage for gays and lesbians....or supported Republicans who were against same-sex marriage. Koch
is off the podium. He's out of the building. Who cares about Israeli queers?!?!? I'm worried about the ones in smalltown New York who still can't come out. I'm worried about the ones in small town Indiana, Wyoming, and Utah. And every other state. Hatred is growing in the US. Bash back.
