I'm no Suzanne Sommers fan, but 1) only four houses were destroyed, a handul of others damaged. I'm not sure "dozens" of people's dreams were charred, as you say. I feel sorry for all of those affected, but the people who can afford to live up in Malibu can likely afford insurance. And for many of these people, this isn't their only home. 2) you can't blame Sommers for the focus she received. It's the media that likes to focus on celebrities, even ones no longer in the public eye. The clip I saw had her talking about the fact no one died in the fire and that she'll rebuild. I think she handled herself with dignity and class.
