I'm sure I'd understand the premise of the question better when it is amended to include all the left-wingers who are "sabotaging the gays," as well.
Raise your hands if anyone thinks that Malcontent will understand the point that it is almost entirely Republicans, who are the primary right leaning party in this country, that are setting forth legislation, rhectoric and policies designed to screw us gays. I know for the sake of justifying your own beliefs you want to pretend there is parity, but false equivalencies between the parties on the gay isssue is bullshit. The Democrats maybe cowards and dont always stand up for their values, but the Republicans are bashers. The one is not the equivalent of the other. You have a President of the right leaning party that uses us as a wedge issue for God sake- how much more do you need to admit who is doing what?

akaison (above) is 100% correct. The Democrats NEVER would have introduced or supported any anti-gay legislation EVER if not forced to do so by the Republican Noise Machine.
Have no doubt. The Democrats are not our enemy. Everyone in America seems to understand this except gay people. Everyone in America knows that the Republicans hate gay people and that is precisely why conservative America have persistently put Republicans in office in spite of the fact that it is against their own best interests to do so.
