CWA Takes On Anthos Activism
Conservative Group Guilty Of Own Charges

fuckyou.jpg
Talk about getting your panties in a twist. The Concerned Women For America has called for a federal investigation into hate crime accounts. The conservative collective insists that gay activists are too eager to label crimes against gays "hate crimes" and, therefore, have skewed FBI statistics in their favor.

The crux of their argument rests on the Andrew Anthos case. As you may recall, the 72-year old gay Michigan allegedly got into an anti-gay scuffle in February. His injuries were so extensive that doctors couldn't do anything and he died a week later. The incident fueled national outrage, a fruitless manhunt and spurred Michigan Senator Carl Levin to introduce fresh hate crime legislation. A coroners reporter, however, asserts that Anthos wasn't attacked. He simply fell, thus sinking hate crime claims. CWA leader, the penis-possessing Matt Barber, fumes:

To make this poor man their 'hate crimes' poster boy, and exploit his unfortunate accident by pinning a 'hate crime' on some phantom 'black man' for political gain is both racist and reprehensible.
Funny, because we were about to say the same thing about CWA's use of Anthos' death. No doubt Barber wouldn't be calling him "this poor man" if he didn't have something to gain.

In addition to calling for an investigation, Barber and his babes are asking for harsher punishments for people who lie about hate crimes:

If H.R. 1592 requires heightened penalties for perpetrators of 'hate crimes,' then why doesn't it require heightened penalties for those who fraudulently report 'hate crimes' which never occurred or for radical homosexual activists who encourage such reports?
While we certainly can't say how many hate crime reports are faked, we know there are a few. Consider, for example, Oklahoma's lesbian Sara Kaspereit's false report. Kaspereit claimed that two men held her down and carved "lesbian" into her arm. She admitted to lying. It seems to us that Kaspereit's allegations were simply to get personal attention, not for political purposes, as Barber would have you believe. Further, her case remains an anomaly. Most hate crime cases turn out to be legitimate. And, if they're found to be false, we're sure they're discounted from the national average. As for homo-journos reporting crimes as hateful - they can't be held accountable when the victim lies. Contrary to popular belief, journalists are not psychic.

So, really, Barber and company are simply squawking over Anthos' death to further their political agenda. Nice try, kids, but not as good as Family Research Council. At least they put some thought into it. Pun totally intended.
