Hundreds of Sacramento-area students rallied to support four students suspended for wearing anti-gay shirts. One participant said: "It's only going to get worse against Christians. We're going to get persecuted more and more. But those who stand to the end: God is going to save them." Um, right...

Book Promises To Explore Ignorance, Indignation

dmcgreeveybook.jpg
As if you didn't already know, Gay American Jim McGreevey's soon-to-be ex-wife Dina McGreevey's penned a book on her marriage to the disgraced New Jersey Governor. Appropriately entitled Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage, Ms. M's book revolves around her complete and utter ignorance of her husband's homo ways. But, just in case people can't figure it all out, Barnes and Noble offers an absolutely heart-wrenching description. Here's but a taste of the histrionics:

...Dina Matos was attracted by Jim McGreevey's principles and his unwavering devotion to his work. She didn't know that his life, and thus their marriage, were built on a foundation of lies; that his past was littered with casual sexual encounters in seedy bookstores and public parks; or that, by his own admission, he began an adulterous affair with another man while she was in the hospital awaiting the birth of their child. "Could I have known," she asks? "How could I have known?"
The website also includes some other books in which Ms. McGreevey's reader may be interested. Among them: Mao: The Untold Story, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's memoir and, of course, The Confession by good old Jim McGreevey. Great niche marketing, Barnes and Noble.

Chides Jimmy's Premature Registration

mcmarried.jpg
McGreevey v. McGreevey's heating up already. Gay American Jim McGreevey filed for divorce from former beard, Dina Matos McGreevey, on Friday, claiming that they had mutually agreed on custody arrangements for their 5-year-old daughter, Jacqueline. Dina, however, says otherwise.

Speaking through her lawyer, the soon-to-be-former Mrs. McGreevey insists her homo-hubbie's jumping the proverbial gun:

I note from news accounts of my husband's filing that he claims we have reached a comprehensive agreement. That is not true. We continue to have profound differences about what our daughter should be exposed to, and until they are resolved, there will be no agreement.
By which she means, "No daughter of mine will be subjected to all the lewd and vile habits of the homosexual variety: the butt sex, the cock sucking, the waxing." McGreevey's lawyer declined to comment, naturally.

Mrs. McGreevey now has 35 days to either sign her husband's papers or file a counter claim. No doubt this already ugly divorce will get much nastier in the months ahead. And, of course, will help boost sales of Dina's tell-all book, Silent Partner - a book she claims she's writing after declining interviews to keep her and her daughter "out of the public maelstrom". Funny, now your daughter's front and center. Coincidence or conspiracy?

(Also, we can't wait for the Lifetime movie...)

McGreevey Oprah

We are looking forward to some sparks when former NJ Governor James McGreevey appears on Oprah to push his new book. Hopefully Oprah will ask some hard hitting questions such as "“Why did you have to lie about that?” and then maybe bring in some "experts" to crucify McGreevey about hiding the truth from Oprah and all of her viewers. You can't hide the truth from Oprah, and if you do she may become "really embarassed" and bring the wrath of her entire studio audience down upon you. Our prayers are with you, Jim.

Gay Governor James McGreevey

Just as we were starting to wonder what ever happened to him, former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey will be reentering the spotlight in September with the publishing of his new book, The Confession. Our sources say that the book will expand upon the message of his "I Am a Big Gay" resignation speech, and enter territory such as "I first realized I was a big gay when..." and "These are the other big gays I know..."

The book, which is allegedly a "very authentic and soulful presentation of his life," is hotly anticipated not only because of the controversy surrounding his outing, but also because he is strangely cute. At least we think so.
