if Leto was joking, i dont think it was a PR "stunt," it was probably an off-the-cuff comment made at the expense of obsessive fans who bother to log into IM chats and ask about every little detail. He prob thought he'd give them a mind-f**k by "coming out." Also, actors are notoriously vain. He's probably enjoys the lust of his gay male fans

It had me thinking, though. Celebs these days are so tied into a web of PR-based dating that if someone like Leto DID come out, it would knock down a whole house of cards. Leto was paired with Cameron Diaz, who was also paired with Justin Timberlake who was also paired with Britney, and so on. One person in that pyramid scheme comes out and the rest of ther relationships are suddenly questioned by the public/press. Imagine if Chris Klein (Katie Holmes' ex) came out?
