Interview Magazine's all sorts of musical this month. Aside from an interview between Scottish singer Angela McCluskey and our girl Lily Allen, they're also featuring a bit of a convo with two of our (and your?) favorite people: Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan.
While there's no quote on Fantasia for us to twist, the ladies do chat about being from Chicago, the challenges of being both a dancer and a singer and, yes, whether or not Hudson would sacrifice herself to the American Idol gods again.
Chaka Khan: If you had to do things over, would you do American Idol again?
Jennifer Hudson: Yes. It was part of my journey. It definitely helped me prepare for the things I'm doing now, because American Idol, honey, was hard work.
Also, you guys may want to check out Queerty contributor Justin Conner's piece on up-and-coming hip-hopper, Tippy. She may be small, Jewish and white, but she spits rhymes like a champ. Like Lily Allen, Tippy used her MySpace page to spread the word, building a legion of fans 15099 strong...and counting.
As for Interview Magazine - it's on sale now, homies.
