Kelis Pisses On White Party
White Party Pisses Right Back
Kelis has the White Party producers seeing red. The "Bossy" singer appeared performed at the gay event this weekend, but most likely won't be again.
Mouthpiece Terry Nguyen blasted the event, saying:
There were many missteps behind the scenes which created a less than suitable environment for any artist to perform. Because of her love for her fans, Kelis made the decision to take the stage, against any advice not to do so.These remarks don't sit well with White Party founder Jeffrey Sanker, who shrieked a rebuttal:
...Any unsuitable conditions were created by Kelis, who refused to rehearse for her show and arrived two hours late. Behind the scenes, I spent two weeks preparing an elaborate production number built entirely around Kelis, and when it came time to do the show, she was completely unprepared.Damn, bitch, this is the nastiest war of words we've seen since the HRC/Andrew Sullivan War of 2007. Only less political. Or smart.Perhaps her stand-in, who had to fill in when Kelis refused to participate in rehearsals, is more qualified to comment on the conditions at WP 2007, since she spent way more time at the event than Kelis ever did.

Put a stick in it. The White Party's dead. I heard attendance was way down and that over last year's down attendance.
only gay retards go to the white party and other events like it. Do people really want to hear Kelis perform "live"? Really???
I was there, and can say that Kelis bombed. And I love Kelis.
There less guys, but def. a lot more hot Area/Privlege type guys and a lot less of the druggy gross cyrstal dudes.
I personally love Kelis and think she did a pretty good job. I think the queens are used to seeing dancers perform like J-Lo and Toni Braxton. Kelis is a different kind of artist. She looked hot and seemed like she was kind of in a good mood. I don't know, I was there...... and I was into it.

I was there and she was beyond horrible. Not only was she not an appropriate act for this type of event, she looked and sounded awful. It was quite obvious she hadn't spent a second rehearsing. Too bad, this was a big booking for her and she blew it. The White Party has had Jennier Lopez, Anastascia, Deborah Cox, Toni Braxton and other stars - who were true stars that showed up and delivered a great performance. Not Kelis.
Who cares about the white party? Big deal. Kelis got paid I am sure Kelis isn't stressing it out. Kelis can do a lot better then perform for a bunch of stuck up snobs in the desert.
I"m 33 years old and I''ve been to the White Party three times...2000 (with boyfriend and friends) I swear, I think this is the year when it reached its peak...so many guys and hardly any space to walk. 2001 (with friends only), and 2002 (with ex-boyfriend only). My most memorable year would have to be 2002 when it was just me and my ex-boyfriend. (highlight of my year actually) J-Lo was awesome but I'd have to truly say I don't remember too much of her performance as I was fucked up out of my mind. I would never dream of going to White Party again though, only because even in year 2002, the crowd was 25% less than it was in 2000. The atmosphere is just not the same and not as fun anymore...so therefore, not really worth the trip to go again in my opinion. Now, I hear nothing but bad remarks about the White Party. However, I will always cherish the memories though and feel very glad that I was able to experience it.
