Am I the only person who finds "Andre Treivas" a hell of a lot sexier than "Michael Lucas"? go back to your Jewish roots, Mike! It works for you!! Also, as obnoxiious as Lucas can be (which is pretty obnoxious), he's right: it's a nuisance lawsuit. Names of works of art, including movies, are notoriously difficult to protect from similar-sounding usages.

The movie's actually just called, flat-out, La Dolce Vita. Not La Dolce Lucas.

This lawsuit is a sad example of blatant homophobia. In 2001, famous Italian porn director Mario Salieri released a straight pron movie called ¨"La dolce Vita" which has since sold successfully worldwide. Salieri is known for his violent depictions of female violation and degradation. On that, not a peep from the Fellini successors. But now that there is a gay movie with a title that's not even the same, just evocative, they are suddenly screaming besmearchment? Shame on you!
