Also, The Day We Saw Chad White's Tush. And It Was Good...

smallcatfight.jpg
• We can't even attempt to do Jim David's attack on the anti-gay GOP justice:

The hysterical right wing response to the House passage of the hate crimes bill [equates] gays with terrorists: if Al Qaeda doesn't get you, Al Gayda will.

They claim that the bill will criminalize antigay speech, which of course it won't. They will still be able to say nasty things about gays, they just won't be able to beat them up, which, of course, most of them want to do.

And it only gets better, especially when he goes after the gay conservatives. Bitch is on a roll...

Mollygood - our Hollywood-obsessed virtual cousin - has a new look. Oh, and we think straight editor Cord Jefferson has a crush on the newly-hunky Marc Jacobs. Pass it on...

• Meanwhile, we totally have a crush on Brothers and Sisters' queer creator, Robbie Baitz.

• And Liv Tyler wants Karolina Kurkova's titties. (Also, Jessica Simpson and reality have apparently had a nasty break-up. Tragic.)

• What's queer about fall's television schedule? How about Bryan Singer, Footballer's Wives, Darren Star and Bobby Cannavale, of Will & Grace, The Night Listener and a slew of other gay-themed shows/movies/etc...

• The Bible-spouting, gay-hating Floridian airport employee totally got canned. Now you queens can fly into Fort Lauderdale without hearing the blasphemous manipulation of Biblical text. Hooray!

• We never knew Isabella Blow, but we still think she's rad.

Out's Equus-inspired, Chad White-starring, Francois Rousseau-shot, Sam Jaradeh-styled photo shoot may be one of the hottest spreads we've seen in a long time. (In print, of course.) Even if you've seen the paper edition, you'll definitely want to head over to the magazine's website to take an exclusive peek at White's oh-so-beautiful bum. It's really quite delicious...

And The Day After He Nearly Lost His Lunch (Allegedly)

alanhays.jpg
• Floridian gay activists still fighting for anti-gay bully bill. Three students sat down with Republican Rep. Alan Hays to discuss the matter. One of the students, 22-year old Jessica Osborn recalls the meeting, "After telling him my story he proceeded to say he was repulsed by homosexuals, and we needed extensive psychological treatment." For his part, Hays says he doesn't remember saying gays repulse him, but he does admit he told them they need psychological treatment. What a guy. [The News-Press]

Brideshead Revisted will be revisited on the big screen. So, who will play Charles and Sebastian? Matthew Goode and Ben Whishaw, respectively. [New Now Next]

Kenneth Hill stressed out about coming out to his grandparents. Considering he's the biggest fag this side of the rainbow, however, they already knew. [QueerSighted]

• Wait, Clay Aiken was kidding when he asked people to invent the most scandalous gossip about him? Now we have to cancel that gallon of motor oil, fifty nipple clamps, a dozen Japanese Macaque, those loaves of French bread and that call to Matt Sanchez. Fuck. [The Clay Aiken Fraud Squad]

Ryan Davis' directorial take on marriage in the United States. Largely improved and strangely captivating. [YouTube]

• Is Cord Jefferson's penis an Uncle Tom? We don't know, but his crush on Kristen Davis makes him worry... [Mollygood]

• Why the gays love Ugly Betty. [Out]

• Don't forget the Queerty-sponsored, Svedka-stocked, eastern bloc-housed Good Times tonight. We've included the flyer after the jump. We would have included last week's pictures, too, but we've been too lazy busy to resize them. Thankfully guest DJ, Sparber posted them on his blog. Thanks, Sparber. You're the breast. And, yes, those boys are cute. [Twerking]

Answer The Girl's Question, Dammit!

Picking new videos everyday can get a little rough. We know it's hard to image that we run out of ways to satisfy your need for the aural, but we really do.

As always, we welcome your suggestions. No, we may not have the same tastes, it's definitely nice to have a little input.

Earlier this week, Jossip's Debbie Newman offered us a little Warren G/Nate Dogg action. Well, today we asked our other cousin, old stud muffin Cord Jefferson of Mollygood, what he'd like to hear. He suggested British-born actress/singer/offspring of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg: Charlotte Gainsbourg.

So, here's "The Songs The We Sing" from last year's 5:55. If it rings a bell, it may be the influences of Jarvis Cocker or the boys from Air or Irish songster Neil Hannon: all of them had a hand in the album's creation.

Give it a listen and let us know what you think.

Special Bitchy Blonde Edition

kristianlword.jpg
We've got two bits of television news for you. The first come to us via our cousin Mollygood who, in turn, got it from those rascals over at Glitterati. Rumor has it that The L-Word's Kristanna Loken, who plays Paige, is so fed up with her castmate's attitude problems that she's leaving the show. Of the show's lady-heavy cast, she says:

It's an entire show of women. And the amount of egos and insecurities and cattiness that can go on with a bunch of women - that's what you get.

[The Show] attracts certain people that want to do something different in their career, but the girls were tough. It's a big, ensemble cast. And sometimes you wonder if they've bit off more than they can chew.

Yes, well, we can imagine things get a little hairy when you guys are all in sync and shit.

The second bit of news isn't really lesbianic, but it does come to us from the chicks over at AfterEllen, who got it from The Hollywood Reporter. They're reporting that former Warrior Princess Lucy Lawless has signed on to play Tanya for the American update of British sudster, Footballer's Wives.
lawlesstanya.jpg
Fans of the original remember coke-snorting, baby-switching, husband hopping, long nail wielding Tanya Turner as being played by Zoe Lucker. While we can't say we're thrilled by the update, we're glad the producers didn't give the role to an American.

No offense, ladies, but we're not sure you could pull it off with quite the right zest.

It's A Yes or No Question!

• Is Barack Obama a sex-offender? Fox News says "yes"!

• Will James Dobson be voting for John McCain? He says "no"!

• Do atheists help bigots? The Guardian op-eder Giles Fraser says "yes"!

• Should gay people act all gay and shit in Malaysia? Travel advisory says "no"!

• Is All My Children's trannie character Zarf a freak? Zarf says yes!

• Is hottie Cord the new editor of Mollygood? He says "yes"! (Do we love sitting next to him at the office? Hell yes!)

VV gay cover

• With the exception or perhaps the New York Times, every publication here in New York is doing a "gay issue" in honor of gay pride. But so far, it's only the Village Voice's edition that got our attention. [VV]

• In other (rather upsetting) media news, local Pennsylvania paper The Morning Call banned columnist Frank Whelan after he appeared as grand marshall of a gay pride parade. The paper's editor claimed Whelan's stint showed his support of gay marriage — and we thought columnists were free to be subjective. [Express-Times]

• A gay cowboy at a nude beach? Who cares if the Human Rights Campaign wasn't behind it — they got some great, ahem, exposure. [BlogActive]

• Holla at our kid sister blog MollyGood, which just landed in the pages of Star magazine. Because just like us, Molly measures her self-worth by press mentions. [MollyGood]

• What is pride to you? [NYC LGBT Center]

MySpace will no longer let anyone over the age of 18 contact a minor — though it has no way of verifying anyone's age. So 40-year-old daddies looking for 16-year-old twinks need only like about their age, except this time they'll need to say 17 instead of 30. [AdAge]

MollyGood

As every card-carrying gay knows, it's as important to be up to speed with the Tonys as it is the Lindsays, Jessicas, and Britneys. Which is why we're pleased to introduce you to MollyGood, Queerty's saucy sister and the third blog in Jossip's stable of witty chatter. Helmed by editor Molly Goodson (get it?), MollyGood will deliver daily paparazzi photos, glossy pics, video clips, entertainment gossip, and everything else you'd expect from someone who brings her own copy of Us Weekly to the doctor's office — to ensure she's got the most recent issue.
