Sure, we loved Brtiish electronic duo Goldfrapp's most recent release, Supernature, but nothing compares to their 2000 debut, Felt Mountain. As a fine art student at Middlesex University, Alison Goldfrapp decided to delve into the magical world of music. After colloborating with Tricky and Orbital, she recorded a few demos, including this track, "Human", which later got passed on to composer Will Gregory.
An industry veteran who had previously worked with Peter Gabriel, Tears for Fears and The Cure, Gregory decided immediately he wanted to work with Ms. G. Upon signing to Mute Records in 1999, the duo locked themselves away in the countryside for five months. When they emerged, they offered Mute Felt Mountain and the rest - as they say - is history.
