We won't bore you with our emotional state right now. Let's just say it's somewhere between blue and poppy. What better time to post "The Blues are Still Blue" from Belle & Sebastian's most recent offering, The Life Pursuit?
For those of you who've been living under a rock, click here for a little Wikipedia action. We can't even begin to sum up their career (especially that nasty falling out with Isobel Campbell.)
When you're done with that, head over to their website for the publicist approved version.
BELLE & SEBASTIAN are fabulous.
White Collar Boy is a marvelously infectious song off of the life persuit, I much prefer it to the blues are still blue.
I love If You're Feeling Sinister and The Boy With the Arab Strap; can't say the rest of 'em do much for me.
However, any band who starts an album with the lines
He had a stroke at the age of 24
It could have been a brilliant career
is alright by me. Haven't listened to them in a while, time for a re-listen of the later albums.
Oh, and the guitarist, Stevie Jackson, is totally adorable.
