Lavender Diamond formed almost by accident. Living in Providence, Rhode Island, singer Becky Stark and her puppeteer friend Xander Marro started performing as part of a play based on the work of artist Paul Laffoley.

Their breezy, light-hearted love songs took on a new shape when Stark moved to Los Angeles, where she hooked up with pianist Steve Gregoropoulos, drummer Ron Regé Jr and guitarist Jeffrey Rosenberg. The foursome went on to release an EP and signed with Matador Records, which just released their first full-length, Imagine Our Love. This here's the first single, "Open Your Heart".
