Morning Aural: The Smashing Pumpkins
Double Blast From The Alternative Past!

Can you believe it's been twelve years since The Smashing Pumpkins released their two-disc masterpiece, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness? Crazy! We remember banging our homo heads to Billy Corgan's crooning and feeling the weight of the world. That weight may have lifted, but The Pumpkins' sound endures.

Simply put, Melancholy may be one of the best albums in history. In celebration of our joyous, cacophonous, smashing aural reunion, here are two videos: above the jump you'll find the somberly sweet, "Tonight, Tonight", and after the jump, the angst-filled classic, "Zero". Rock on!

A couple quick things: homosexuality is not a sexual preference. It is a sexual perversion. And secondly, the CD is called Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Yes, it is supposed to be spelled that way. His name is Billy Corgan, not Corrigan. Do you people not do any research? Why don't you stick to reporting stuff you know, like Elltin Jon.
