The Thompson Twins were the shit during the whole new wave movement throughout the 1980s, but by the end of the decade of decadence they were long past their "Doctor! Doctor!" days. Perhaps that's why the vid to their 1989 classic "Sugar Daddy" is so brazen—smarmy producers, sexual harassment, and more religious iconoclasm than Tom Bailey can shake a crucifix at (and does!). Then again, 1989 was also the year Madonna released "Like a Prayer." What can we say? Blasphemy was in that season!
Hot, right? But can you take 12-inches of "Sugar Daddy" after the jump?
We knew you were up for more! Enjoy!
Totally cool times 2!!! Always loved "Lay Your Hands On Me" by The Thompson Twins. One of my favorites from the 80's. Thanks for this throwback!
