We realize a significant number of Queerty readers are slackers, unemployed or general layabouts. This morning, however, we thought we'd dig into the past for a special dedication to all you working girls out there who read Queerty on company time. Keep on keepin' on, guys!
All of us with a head for business and a bod for sin thank you.
Oh, how I missed big hair, big shoulder pads and the days when Harrison Ford was still super hot.
if you liked Carly's original..u will LOVE the cover by legendary Transgendered singer/actress Alexandra Billings...she is amazing..check out her blog to see her GLAAD award winning turn on Grey's Anatomy...the girls can SANG and this Carly Simon song is one of her show-stopppers..its on her Being Alive cd...available at Amazon...enjoy..u won't be sorry!!!
nice choice. thanks for reminding of singer-songwriters who actually had talent, experience and literacy going for them. I'd forgotten.
Great song by Carly Simon. She won a Grammy, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for that one. She wanted a jungle beat because she thought NYC was sort of like a jungle and she wanted that to come through in the song. She has a beautiful new album out, Into White, with some great covers of new material, traditional standards and some lulabyes. Check it out. Her voice has deepened to a smokey contralto. Quite beautiful and unique.
