Morning Aural: Lisa Stansfield
"Change"

Most everyone Stateside knows Lisa Stansfield for her hit "Around the World," but many don't know about this gorgeous ditty and the Frankie Knuckles remix of the song the labels pushed in the U.S.

You know, back in the days when there was still a music industry.

And I thought I was the only one who loved this song by Lisa Stansfield. Thanks for remembering it.

Thank you for posting this vid - such a great song! I especially appreciate your pointing out that it is Frankie's remix that added that special touch. So many remixers and producers go unnoticed, and his contributions to the success of artists ranging from Lisa Stansfield to Swing Out Sister to Gabrielle helped to define an era of "danceable downtempo" music that was lush and truly musical.

Hooray for Lisa Stansfield! One of the greatest female voices in modern music, amazing song writer, and lovely person to boot. What's not to love!
